Black lives matter.
Inside the Jar recognizes that police brutality and violence continue to take the lives of Black people in North America and around the world at disproportionate rates. Anti-Black racism is real and we commit to using our platform to amplify the voices of the oppressed. In solidarity, we attended the anti-racism protest in Vancouver, B.C. on June 5.
Below we’ve listed the names of some of the Black men and women killed in officer-involved incidents in both Canada and the United States over the last decade. Say their names.
